For my own vague amusement, months ago, I took on some fic requests for dA.

And i'm currently on my fifth. A SasuNaru. My first every Naruto slash fanfic! It's a chance to fully express my worth, test my ability to branch out into other fandoms aside from Kingdom Hearts! They asked me for fluffy/lemon-y, and damn, will I deliver! My WIP intro is already proof of THAT.

I FAIL. I FAIL SO HARD.

But enough of that.

AND... i'm still working bit by bit on everything. I want to write Simon/Viral. I want to write a badass!Roxas fic. I want to finish all my old stories. I want to do my 20-some remaining requests. I just want to get everything together and actually be a writer, but nothing is coming together for me.

I did pull together a bit of Absinthe this weekend, though, and since I haven't done anything in forever, here's a little preview:

In other news, I really, really, really love VG Cats.

Yeah, so I finally decided to use this livejournal with the intent of a writer's ramble. Which is why I got the silly eljay in the first place. But now i've decided to stop bitching about teh average life of Ler-hah and delve a little into the hectic life of Blue Funk. I haz two ongoing fics now that I don't think i'll be finishing up anytime soon, along with another multi-chapter I want to start. Because I just love biting off more than I can chew.

In any case, let the little rambles begin. Feel free to just skip everything and go right to the previews in Times New Roman, my favorite font EVAR, if you wish.

Special Discount: Has been updated! After two months and a tentative break, chapter 6 is up. And the next chapter probably won't be here for another month, unless I decide to post up something short. But the debate thus far is if I will keep it going or wrap it upin a few chapters. For now, I think i'm going to let it keep going, but leave myself some room to finish it off if I feel myself going downhill. Knowing me, that could happen at any moment. xD

SINthetic: I should be posting up the next chapter within the next two weeks, hopefully. Although with a crit paper and a new semester starting up, we'll see how overloaded I get, school-wise. Nevertheless, there's a teeny-tiny snippet beneath the cut. And by teeny-tiny, I mean just about the beginning and end of a conversation between One and Roxas. But it's one of my favorite conversations, so I couldn't help it.



Halcyon Days: This is the WIP. It's absolutely loopy and I have no idea why i'm sticking so strongly by it, because I've honestly never written anything like it before. And, I mean, damn, there's going to be RikuRoku in it. xD The main story will be, as always, AkuRoku. I just can't drag myself away from those two, even though I really need to start expanding on mah pairings, methinks. In any case, I adore the title and the idea I have going for it. It just kinda stuck. So i'm going to write it out. We'll see. Another snippet under the cut, but that's just me playing with the plot so far. Nothing official yet.



 

Things are steadily going downhill and yet uphill at the same time. Ups and downs make me nauseous. There's my mysterious illness. xD Doctor's today. Bloodwork tomorrow, along with some funky 90 minute "balance" test called a CGN later. Then there's me falling behind in schoolwork. And one of the biggest fails of the past week?

MY GODS, MISSING NYAF?! I could cry. In fact, when Sarah calls me Saturday to say that Eric Vale had showed up and was wandering around with Chris Sabat, I was wailing. Of all the cons that I probably should've gone to, New York Anime Festival was one of them. The One Piece movie premiere... the voice actors... I don't even have a cosplay anymore, but I still would've gone. xD I'm in need of a con. Failure pickle on account of my inability to drive yet and me being sick all the damn time. Mm. So my insides are torn up over that.

But. At least i'm making partial headway with my fics, and there's Mitsuwa Plaza thursday... and Christmas is only 15 days away. I suppose I can make it.

I still need to do Christmas shopping. By jove.

So at last, this stressing week has come to an end. Half of it I spent in a drowsy, fever-induced state, but it's all good. Donuts tomorrow at morning practice, then merry-making and sea-salt icecream. I can live with that. Just like I can live with gay guys sending me half-naked pictures of themselves. Thanks, Matt. I'm sure you were just "taking off your shirt." Right.

I should also be getting a picture of a half-naked Zoro in the mail soon. Thank gods for art commissions and my poopaw, Sarah. xD

And my Roxas scarf should be done soon. To match my Roxas hat. And then i'll be all Roxas-y in wintertime, which fills me with too much glee than could be considered sane. Why, oh why am I so damn obsessed? Why do I write so much KH fanfiction? Why do I continually check kh-vids.net for the faint chance that release dates will be coming? For now, we will not answer these questions.

I've also gotten ridiculously addicted to Daft Punk's newest album, "Alive 2007," which is probably the most techno-awesome remix cd evar. And then there's The Cat Empire... I don't even know what they are. xD. Alternative.. jazz? Ska? Rock? With snazzy trumpets. Like Ore Ska Band, but English, and only guys. By jove, go listen.

In any case, i've been listening to "Music is the Language" and "Robot Rock / Oh Yeah" religiously for quite some time now. xD

The Toropin household has also recieved a new supply of Mountain Dew. I have been happily chugging away at this particularly lethal liquid. If I had any sperm, I would happily sacrifice them for Dew. 

I have an unnamed, four page undecided one-shot/multi-chapter glaring at me from my Word documents and it demands that I get my sorry ass back to work.

Oh, and in other news, RIP Evel Knievel. Lera needs to stop updating this just to fill it with the stupid things she's been doing lately. Hopefully, next will be a fic post or something. Damnit.
